Final Fantasy XIV 6.4, The Dark Throne, is Live

The Dark Throne, Final Fantasy XIV ’s latest update, 6.4, is now live with new main scenario quests continuing the story, a brand new dungeon, new Trial and Unreal Trial, and much more.

If your Warrior of Light was feeling out of things to do,well, you’re in luck since nine new Main Scenario quests arrive to move the story forward. After that, there are new Chronicles of a New Era quests, and new side story quests, including the continuation of Tataru’s Grand Endeavor, and even a new Island Sanctuary quest, “An Ideal Marriage”.

Island Sanctuary also has a number of other changes and additions. There is a new Gathering area that you can unlock in the wilds, new visions, new gathering points and gatherable materials, and even new sanctuary crafting recipes. There are new product options to collect and grow, as well as new construction plots that you can unlock by enhancing your island, and even a series of new items.There's a new area for foraging expeditions and new materials that you can get from doing so. and, perhaps most fun, there are new animals added to Island Sanctuary. 

Also in Island Sanctuary is the introduction of furnishing glamours, which you can unlock by continuing to enhance and make progress on your island. You can register some of your furnishing items as glamours that will let you place them in your Island Sanctuary even if they're not in your inventory. you can register up to 120 furnishings this way. 

But maybe you really want a new dungeon to spend your time tackling. You're in luck because the Aetherfont is here. This is a four-player level 90 dungeon, but you can use Trust or Duty support NPCs.
