Final Fantasy XI is still going after 21 years, though in a version of maintenance mode that still includes monthly refreshes and occasional special new content. Some of that new content is on the way, including a crossover Alliance raid with Final Fantasy XIV ’s Dawntrail expansion.
The November update features the usual monthly refreshes and rotations to Ambuscade mobs and Records of Eminence objectives. This month, fight mobs, get your hands on the Impish Box, and unlock the Peach Power Battlefield. You can enter this new battlefield once per day, using the Impish Box when you get inside. Defeat monsters in there for some rewards.
In late November, there will be a new event–Vana’Bout, which works as an online co-op campaign. The community can work together to rack up points for special items and rewards to collectively meet new goals. A new login campaign begins today through December 2nd. Log in and collect points to exchange for rewards.
While these are the main updates, there is also a special raid coming in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail expansion: “Echoes of Vana'diel”, a new level 100 24-person alliance raid. Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida announced the special raid is on the way as a collaboration. We won't have to wait too long to find out more, As the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2024 takes place in early January in Tokyo. More details will be revealed about the Dawntrail expansion as well as this raid and lots of other reveals and previews.
Head to Final Fantasy XI for the update notes and events.
