Square Enix will soon give fans more news aboutFinal Fantasy 14: Dawntrail and Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide, as the company will appear in two panels at the upcoming PAX East 2024 convention in Boston. Square Enix stated that its Final Fantasy 14panel will be hosted on Saturday, March 23, and the Final Fantasy 16 panel will start on March 22.
During the 2024 Tokyo FanFest, Final Fantasy 14 producer and director Naoki Yoshida revealed more details about the upcoming Dawntrail expansion. Some of the details included confirmation that the Female Hrothgar would be added to the game as the final race option, and the new caster DPS called the Pictomancer was revealed. Some new environments that players will explore in Dawntrail were also touched upon, with the cyberpunk-inspired city of Solution Nine being among the biggest surprises that Final Fantasy 14 players got a taste of. However, Yoshida still refused to reveal when exactly Dawntrail would be released but confirmed that an internal target date was chosen.
Final Fantasy fans will soon have an opportunity to get information on both Dawntrail and The Rising Tide. Yoshida and other Square Enix staff members will attend PAX East 2024 in Boston for two panels, which will also be streamed on Twitch and YouTube. Yoshida will host a panel about Dawntrail on Saturday, March 23, at noon Eastern, at the convention's Main Theatre. While details remain light on what fans and attendees can expect, Square Enix stated that players should not miss the presentation. Given the fact that the release date for Dawntrail is still unknown at the time of writing, the PAX East panel is a likely opportunity for that detail to drop. Additionally, Final Fantasy 14 players who attend PAX East can also take on a battle challenge against Asura and win a free t-shirt.
However, that will not be the only presence Yoshida has at the Boston convention. The Final Fantasy 16 panel will be held on Friday, March 22, at 11:30 AM Eastern, at the Albatross
