Final Fantasy 14 has been getting updates in preparation for Dawntrail, the game's new expansion that is launching next Summer. During the expansion's announcement, game director Naoki Yoshida revealed that he was wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt, which longtime fans will know is his way of teasing the upcoming introduction of a new job. He's done it several time in the past, such as wearing a Batman shirt as a not so subtle tease for the Dark Knight job.
One of the theories at the time was that Yoshida was hinting at the introduction of the Green Mage, literally because the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are green. It was a bit of a stretch, but Final Fantasy 14's most recent patch has actually strengthened the theory quite a bit, as fans think a new cutscene has revealed that Green Mages will be running around Eorzea when Dawntrail drops next year.

We'll keep things light on the details to avoid spoilers, but Reddit user u/vikmourne recently shared their research into Green Mages on the Final Fantasy 14 subreddit, after witnessing the patch's ending cutscene in which Krile pulls a clover earring out of an envelope (thanks Fanbyte). In this same cutscene, Krile also asks if her grandfather has been to the "golden city", which is yet another handy link to Dawntrail.
After a bit of sleuthing, u/vikmourne explains that the clover is a symbol that has appeared in previous Final Fantasy games before, primarily on the clothing of Green Mages in titles such as Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, and Final Fantasy Tactics S.
