Japanese games giant Capcom has reported that it sold 22.6 million copies of its games in the six months ending September 30th, 2023.
The company's financial report for the period shows that the firm beat expectations for the first half of the fiscal year. Capcom beat its 21.3 million unit goal by six per cent.
The company says that this is down to Street Fighter 6, which was released in June of this year. The title has sold 2.47 million copies to date. Meanwhile, the remake of Resident Evil 4 has hit 5.45 million sales, "significantly" contributed to sales, Capcom says.
Other games that contributed to Capcom's red letter period include Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Volume One and Two, which sold 1.42 million, while Exoprimal has shifted over one million units.
Net sales for the H1 period clocked in at ¥74.9 billion ($498 million), an increase of 52.7 per cent year-on-year.
