Update 40 for The Elder Scrolls Online is going live today for PC and Mac, bringing the brand new group finder, new Grand Master crafting stations, Hermaeus Mora Patron deck for Tales of Tribute, and the Endless Archive dungeon.
The centerpiece of the update is, of course, the brand new Endless Archive dungeon. This new PVE activity is included in this base game update as it will be free to access to all, regardless of DLC owned or subscriptions. The team has been diving into the Endless Archive’s lore, setup, structure, available bonuses, and tons of unique rewards you can only get inside. One of those is the Hermaeus Mora Patron Deck for Tales of Tribute, with the key part being that in there you’ll be able to find fragments of the deck. There’s some work to be done to get your hands on this deck, which is designed to be fast and powerful–with some tradeoffs.
This PvE activity is designed to be challenged over and over, and for those looking for good dungeon play and the collectors who want all the shinies, it’s finally opening today. The ESO team has even shared a new video guide and overview with all you need to know to start your time in the brand new dungeon–from the always-different challenge, rewards, new currency, and more.
While the dungeon is the biggest part of this update, a helpful addition is the new group finder. This isn’t a queue system, so it’s still going to take some effort but it will help you find others who are actively looking to do certain activities. you will be able to search a category that you're interested in, like dungeon, PvP, Zone, Trial, or Endless Archive (which gets its own category). You can also create a group listing for others to join so you can all start the activity
