EverQuest 2's 20th expansion has launched today, taking players to the firmament lands to spoil the plans of the Djinn Sovereign. The expansion, Ballads of Zimara, brings new zones, five new adventure and tradeskill levels, and more.
Ballads of Zimara sees players take to the sky to wrest «lasting peace from a despotic foe, the Djinn Sovereign, and his growing army of metallic djinn.» The new expansion for the long-running MMORPG sees new areas to explore, including the Splendor Sky Aerie, the Zimara Breadth, as well as the home of the maedjinn, Aether Wroughtlands, and finally the fortress of the Djnn — Vaashkaani.
Adventure and tradeskill levels have also been increased to 130 for this adventure, with players able to take part in solo, heroic and raid content throughout Ballds of Zimara. Chrono dungeons are also launching with the expansion, letting players relive their favorite dungeons in EQ2.
You can grab the expansion on the EverQuest 2 expansion landing page. Like normal, the prices vary based on just how important in-game cosmetic and convenience items are for you, ranging from the standard edition's $34.99 all the way up to the Family and Friends edition at $249.99, which comes with level boosts, a tradeable version of the expansion, tradeable mounts, boosts and more.
