A new Elden Ring patch went live yesterday, bringing tons of gameplay changes to the open-world action RPG by FromSoftware. A new video shared online a few hours ago goes over them, allowing players to see what the changes truly amount to.
The video, which was put together by SYROBE, provides a quick comparison of the gameplay changes introduced in patch 1.09 and highlights the new ray tracing features, which, as revealed soon after the patch went live, are not as comprehensive as some would have expected. The lack of NVIDIA DLSS support also makes it so that only those with top-end hardware are able to play the game at acceptable performance with ray tracing on.
In case you missed the Elden Ring 1.09 patch notes, you can find them here. The update, as showcased in the video above, introduces plenty of buffs for a variety of weapons, making them better options to take down the many enemies roaming in the Lands Between.
Elden Ring is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One worldwide. The game's expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, is currently in development and will release on a yet-to-be-confirmed date. Check out my review to learn about one of the best open-world RPGs ever made.
