An Elden Ring mod has added several pieces of Old School RuneScape weapons and armor to the game. The mod for Elden Ring blurs the line between FromSoftware's RPG and Jagex's never-ending MMORPG.
The Elden Ring modding community isn't as large as many other RPGs out there, despite the game's widespread popularity. The game is still relatively new, so there is still time for it to pick up in the future. However, it does mean that many of the mods out there are incredible, as they're only created by the most hardcore Elden Ring fans. One ambitious mod for Elden Ring even adds Pokemon to the game, allowing players to summon Pokemon to help with Elden Ring's difficult combat. It remains to be seen just how ambitious the Elden Ring modding community will be able to get with the title going forward, but the early signs are positive.
Elden Ring Player Invades Using Only a Torch
The mod was uploaded to Nexus Mods by user Lordcobra12, and adds several iconic pieces of RuneScape armor to the game. It adds a full Bandos set, an Abyssal Tentacle, Dragon Claws and Boots, and a Fire Cape, among other smaller items. Adding the items comes at a cost however, as it replaces some of the base game armor in Elden Ring. For example, the Bandos set replaces the Night's Cavalry Set, and the Abyssal Tentacle replaces the Thorned Whip. For fans of RuneScape, the trade-off may prove to be worth it.
The mod is clearly very incompatible with Elden Ring's deep lore, though many players won't mind. If players of Elden Ring can accept Thomas the Tank Engine being added to the game, it's unlikely that the line will be drawn at RuneScape.
