The developer behind Elden Ring may be working on a new unannounced project. According to recent LinkedIn updates, a FromSoftware employee has been acting as the producer of a project for at least a year, and it’s not the upcoming Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, nor the Elden Ring DLC.
FromSoftware has been making games since the early 90s with the King’s Field franchise, but it only really achieved the peak of its fame with Dark Souls back in 2011. Ever since then, the company has been releasing several games in the so-called Soulslike genre, creating a whole new niche of difficult action-RPGs games. The company’s latest project, Elden Ring, keeps the Soulslike combat intact and adds it to an open world.

Now FromSoftware producer Kenneth Chan has revealed that he is part of a new project. Originally spotted by PCGamesN, the news comes from an update in his LinkedIn profile, which now states that he is currently the producer of an “unannounced project” since January 2022. Chan previously worked as the lead designer and project manager of Elden Ring. He’s also been one of the directors of the upcoming Armored Core 6 since 2017. His experience makes it likely that this is a project similar to Elden Ring or Dark Souls.
Last year, FromSoftware announced that it was hiring new employees for several projects, so this may be one of them. Unfortunately, it’s highly unlikely that it will be Elden Ring 2, as the title just came out last year, and it’s one of the largest open-world games out there. However, Bloodborne 2, Sekiro 2, Dark Souls 4, or even King’s Field 5 are all possible choices. The new project may also be a whole new IP, which is also not something
