Jurassic World Dominion is set to be an action-packed blockbuster, but its differences from the original Jurassic Park movie are worrying for the franchise. Jurassic World Dominion will be the sixth installment of the Jurassic Park movieseries and the final part of Chris Pratt's Jurassic World trilogy. Joining Pratt will be the primary cast members from the original 1993 film, including Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill. All three are set to play significant roles in Dominion, which will look very different from Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park.
Set four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, a multitude of dinosaurs will roam the world in Dominion. The latest trailer for the movie shows a pterodactyl flying over New York City, a Mosasaurus in the ocean, and two T-Rex wreaking havoc in the streets of Malta. The premise lends itself to be an adventure movie where the dinosaurs cause chaos across the globe, and co-star Sam Neill has promised that the film "has action from the moment the lights go down." But that does not mean that Jurassic World Dominion will be a good Jurassic Park movie.

A considerable part of Jurassic Park's success in 1993 was its lowkey, suspenseful horror, which is everything that Jurassic World Dominion will not be. The most memorable part of Jurassic Park is not the T-Rex breaking out of its enclosure; it's the iconic imagery of the glasses of water trembling moments before the dinosaur jumps out in front of Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm and Sam Neill's Dr. Alan Grant.
