Jurassic World Dominion director Colin Trevorrow reveals that the film's reunion of the original Jurassic Park cast all stemmed from Laura Dern's Ellie Sattler. Set four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Dominion sees the return of Owen Brady (Chris Pratt), Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon) as they attempt to survive in a new world where humans and dinosaurs are forced to co-exist following the release of the prehistoric creatures from captivity. The third entry in the Jurassic World trilogy, and the sixth overall installment in the wider Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World Dominion has so far received mostly negative reviews after its world premiere last month.
Alongside the Jurassic World stalwarts, the film also reunites the original Jurassic Park cast of Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum. Reprising their respective roles of palaeobotanists Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, and chaos-theory mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm, Dominion sees the three characters returning to aid the former Jurassic World employees as they attempt to once again fend off against rampaging dinosaurs across the globe. Although Dern and Neill returned to the franchise in Jurassic Park III, and Goldblum appeared in both The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Fallen Kingdom, Dominion reunites theJurassic Park trio for the first time since the original 1993 blockbuster.
