Jurassic World Dominion boasted the highest box office opening for a non-superhero film since 2019. Jurassic World Dominion premiered on June 10 and marks the third and final film of the Jurassic World trilogy. The film follows the continued struggles that humanity faces in co-existing peacefully among dinosaurs. Additionally, a corrupt bioengineering company, Biosyn, is stirring up trouble with unethical experiments and cloning, attracting the attention of Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Alan Grant (Sam Neill).
The film was highly anticipated as it is the first in the Jurassic World trilogy to bring back original Jurassic Park stars Dern and Neill, nearly 20 years after they last appeared in the franchise. However, the film has received largely negative reviews from critics. Jurassic World Dominion nabbed the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score out of both the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World trilogies.
