Warning! Spoilers ahead for Jurassic World Dominion.
The latest entry in Screen Rant's Pitch Meeting series runs amok with Jurassic World Dominion. Dominion is the sixth film in the Jurassic Park franchise and the culmination of the Jurassic World trilogy that began in 2015 and continued with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2018. Colin Trevorrow returns to the director's chair for the trilogy capper, having helmed the soft reboot in 2015, after stepping away from Fallen Kingdom to focus his efforts on Star Wars Episode XI.
Dominion takes place 4 years after the volcanic eruption on Isla Nublar, and the incident at the Lockwood Estate, where Maisie Lockwood unleashed dinosaurs back into the rest of the world. Now dinosaurs coexist chaotically alongside humanity and have been wreaking terror on Earth's ecosystem. Maisie, the cloned granddaughter of Benjamin Lockwood, has been living in hiding with Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, while Biosyn Genetics has been trying to track the girl down to study her DNA for their own sinister purposes. Meanwhile, giant locusts that were thought to be extinct reappear and decimate global crops, leading to the reteaming of paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler, paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ian Malcolm, who now works for the mysterious Biosyn. Dominion marks the first time the core cast has reunited for a Jurassic Park film (minus Lex and Tim).
