Warning: SPOILERS for Jurassic World Dominion
Although it's the culmination of the six-film saga that began with Jurassic Park, Jurassic World Dominion left behind several big unanswered questions. Director Colin Trevorrow's dinosaur sequel reunitesJurassic Park's icons, Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), and teams them up with Jurassic World's heroes, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), and Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon). Also back from Jurassic Park are the villainous Dr. Lewis Dodgson (now played by Campbell Scott), the CEO of BioSyn, and rogue geneticist Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong).
Set four years after the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Dominion picks up the story of the cloned dinosaurs set loose into the world. However, Jurassic World Dominion isn't actually about the impact dinosaurs have made on life on Earth. Rather, Dominion's main crisis involves genetically-engineered Cretaceous locusts bred by Dr. Wu under Dodgson's orders. Drs. Grant, Sattler, and Malcolm discover that BioSyn's scheme is to control the world's food supply by unleashing the locusts to destroy farms that don't use BioSyn grain. However, Dr. Wu's locusts are breeding out of control and will soon create a global famine. Meanwhile, Maisie is kidnapped by BioSyn because she's the only clone of a human, her mother Dr. Charlotte Lockwood (Elva Trill), in existence, and Maisie's genome holds the key to the Earth's salvation.
