Warning! Spoilers ahead for Jurassic World Dominion!
The original Jurassic Park film receives the perfect callback in Jurassic World Dominionwith its biggest death. Bringing the franchise's second trilogy to a close, Dominion brings back several legacy characters from the first Jurassic films, including the movie's primary antagonist. As the heroes of Dominion try to survive while working to expose the corruption of the company Biosyn, the head of the company Dr. Lewis Dodgson (played by Campbell Scott, recasting of the original character) eventually meets his demise near the film's end, mirroring a death from 29 years earlier on Isla Nublar.
First appearing in 1993's Jurassic Park, Dodgson is a leading executive at the Biosyn Corporation, the chief rival of InGen who desperately wants to be competitive by having dinosaurs of their own. Bribing one of Jurassic Park's computer programmers named Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) to steal embryos off the island using a fake Barbasol can, Dodgson was offering 1.5 million dollars. However, Nedry never got the chance to collect the full amount for his services. After shutting down park security to create a distraction for his escape from the island, Nedry got lost and was attacked by a venom-spitting Dilophosuarus, the gruesome nature of his exact death being left to the audience's imagination after the carnivore spit venom into his eyes and trapped him inside his jeep.
