Jurassic World: Dominion star Sam Neill reveals the props he kept from the original Jurassic Park set. In the upcoming film, the actor returns to the role of the reluctant yet adventurous paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant in the conclusion of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World storylines, which have spanned the better part of three decades. Dominion sees Jurassic World leads Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) team up with the surviving cast of Jurassic Park, including Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum).
Neill first appeared as Grant in Steven Spielberg's 1993 blockbuster smash Jurassic Park, which pulled in nearly $1 billion at box office, making it the highest-grossing film of all time up to that point. The movie told the story of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler, who are enlisted to take a tour of the dinosaur theme park by John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) in hopes of their professional endorsement. However, Grant soon finds himself running for his life while protecting Hammond's young grandchildren as the park is sabotaged by a disgruntled employee.
