Jurassic Park star Sam Neil has revealed how he believes Alan Grant reacted to the park finally opening ahead of the release of Jurassic World Dominion. Neil will reprise the role of Grant alongside returning Jurassic Park co-stars, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.Jurassic Park: Dominion is the third entry in the Jurassic World trilogy.
Despite the tragic and chaotic events of 1993's Jurassic Park, John Hammond's (Richard Attenborough) dream and dying wish was finally realized by the Masrani Global Corporation on the former site of Hammond's failed Isla Nublar park in Jurassic World. This moviegave audiences a glimpse of what would happen if the park ever opened, with visitors flocking in large crowds to see shows, take part in dinosaur petting zoos, and take high-tech tours of the various habitats in the successful, overly-commercialized park under the management of Bryce Dallas Howard's Operations Manager, Claire Dearing. While following Jurassic World films saw dinosaurs spread out across the globe, the new park succeeded where Hammond's venture failed, operating for a decade before the incident of the 2015 film, but one cast member doubts his character would have been enthusiastic over the achievement.

In an interview with Gizmodo about his upcoming return in Jurassic World Dominion, Neil stated Grant would have disproved of the new park. The actor suggested that not only would his fears be proven, but exceed them, referring to the tragic fate of Katie McGrath's Zara Young as an example. Neil also suggested that Owen's (Chris Pratt) history as an employee and dinosaur trainer would cause friction between him and Alan, but the two characters
