Quite a lot has occurred in the lives of Jurassic Park’s main characters since the movie’s ending. For many, the carnage that took place in the dinosaur theme park in 1993 was just the beginning. Several have continued to be involved in matters regarding these prehistoric creatures in the decades that followed the first movie.
As if Jurassic Park didn’t provide enough excitement for the main characters, a number of them ended up back in the crosshairs of the dinosaurs after the movie in one way or another. As a result, quite a few have emerged as key players in the Jurassic Park sequels. When the franchise was revived withJurassic World, new characters were brought in to drive the story in their places. Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom were led by a younger generation of protagonists, but the films didn’t completely leave behind the past. There were some characters from the original trilogy who remained relevant to the franchise.

More so than the last two installments, Jurassic World Dominion is a continuation of both stories. Described as the final chapter in the six-movie saga, Dominion is combining the new with the old by uniting its younger heroes with a few members of the original Jurassic Park cast. Going in this direction makes sense, and not just because Dominion is the end of the story.
