Warning: Contains potential SPOILERS for Jurassic World Dominion
Jurassic World Dominion's arrival in theaters is cause for significant excitement among audiences, yet there are questions over how violent and scary the movie is, as well as its suitability for younger viewers. Like each of the previous films in the franchise, Jurassic World Dominion boasts impressive dinosaur special effects and explosive action. Yet there are also some dark and threatening moments that may prove unsuitable for some audiences.
Set four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar in the preceding entry, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, Dominion takes places in a world where dinosaurs have successfully managed to engineer a foothold in the fight for survival. Now free from their island home and roaming around the mainland, they pose a bigger threat to humanity than ever before. This danger brings previous Jurassic World protagonists such as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing into contact with legacy characters such as Dr. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler as the saga that began in 1993 finally comes full circle.

In many cases, the suitability of Jurassic World Dominion will come down to personal preference. Much like the two previous Jurassic World movies, the film is rated as a PG-13, meaning that some content may well be deemed unsuitable for younger viewers. According to the official MPAA rating, Jurassic World Dominion features "intense sequences of action, some violence, and language," making it comparable with the first two movies.
