Jurassic World: Dominion may be the end of the Jurassic Park franchise when it arrives in theaters on June 10, but for some it will be the very beginning. Even as familiar faces make their return to the story after years away, audiences will still be meeting fresh ones: like Ramsay Cole, the head of communications of BioSyn.
Cole is played by Mamoudou Athie, who recently turned heads in Prime Video's Black Box and in Netflix's Archive 81. Now that he's had the chance to meet some of his childhood heroes onscreen and learn how to calm down raptors, audiences may soon be seeing even more of him.

Screen Rant had the chance to speak to Athie to celebrate Jurassic World: Dominion's upcoming release, and the actor was happy to describe his feelings of gratitude about participating in the large-scale project and of awe after working with a legend like Sam Neill.
Screen Rant: How do you describe joining this franchise?
Mamoudou Athie: My friend recently texted me something, and we just ended up talking about gratitude. I am really just grateful, because it's such a wonderful, storied franchise. To have such a good time making it, and to be able to share it with the world finally, I'm just really grateful.
What was your biggest pinch-me moment on set? The moment you were like, «Oh, I'm in Jurassic World.»
Mamoudou Athie: My first day. My first day with Sam Neill as Alan Grant and Laura Dern, the incomparable Laura Dern, as Ellie Sattler. I was like, «What's going on here? Somebody made a mistake.» [laughs] It was great. They're so friendly and open. After a couple of days, I got over myself and started to relax a little bit.
