Jurassic World Dominion won't see Bryce Dallas Howard's character, Claire Dearing, running in high heels. This weekend marks the highly anticipated release of Jurassic World Dominion, the third and currently final installment in the blockbuster dinosaur franchise. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the new film picks up years after 2018'sJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and finds the human world overrun by the dinosaurs that were let loose at the end of the previous film. Many familiar faces return to solve the crisis, including Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum.
As the former park operations manager of Jurassic World, Dearing was at first an uppity executive who cared more for profits than dinosaurs, a persona illustrated by her sophisticated, professional attire. A pair of beige stilettos became an integral part of her costume in the first Jurassic World film, causing a stir among fans when Dearing memorably dashed through the jungle while wearing the impractical shoes. Some have even gone on to criticize Dearing's choice of footwear in Jurassic World, with just as many choosing to mock it. Howard has continued to field questions about the shoes ever since, saying the heels were her decision for the character.

The shoe question comes up once again in a recent Jurassic World Dominion interview with E! News' Daily Pop. Except this time, Howard confirms that Dearing won't be bringing back her beige heels for one final adventure. Howard said:
«You will be gravely disappointed if you came to Dominion to see me in heels ‘cause it doesn't happen. Not once.»
