Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron teases details about the Star Wars movie he's working on. Following Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012, the studio produced a full slate of new Star Wars films, which concluded in 2019 with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Lucasfilm is currently focusing on live-action Star Wars TV shows for Disney+ (such as this month's Obi-Wan Kenobi), but they still have plans to bring the galaxy far, far away back to the big screen at some point. A number of Star Wars movies are in various stages of development.
One such project is being produced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, and it's set to be an MCU reunion. Back in January 2021, it was announced Waldron would write Feige's Star Wars movie, marking the third collaboration between the two (Waldron also wrote Marvel Studios' Loki for Disney+). In typical Lucasfilm fashion, story details for this new film are being kept under wraps. However, Waldron is able to give audiences a little glimpse behind the curtain of how it's progressing.
