With the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ show starting soon, of course Fortnite is running a cross-promotion with a new skin.
In retrospect, there was no way Fortnite was going to let May roll by without adding at least one new Star Wars skin to the game. Earlier this month, it brought back lightsabers and soon one of the most iconic characters in the franchise will be dropping into the battle royale.
Unsurprisingly, that character is Obi-Wan Kenobi, who will be added to the in-game store from May 26, first thing in the morning at 1am BST.
He’ll be sporting his prequel movies look. More accurately, he’ll be taking on his appearance in the upcoming Obi-Wan Disney+ series, where Ewan McGregor has reprised his role.
Epic Games has provided a first look at the skin and the cosmetics that come with it. So far, there doesn’t appear to be an alternate variant to have him look like how he did in the original trilogy.

Weirdly enough, none of Obi-Wan’s associated cosmetics include a lightsaber. Probably because you can already get one as a separate item.
Instead, this collection comes with a Desert Essentials back bling, an Obi-Wan Blade pickaxe, a Jedi Interceptor glider (made to resemble the starfighters Jedi used during the Clone Wars), and an Obi-Wan’s Message emote (wait, it’s not the ‘these aren’t the droids you’re looking for’ gesture?).
You can purchase the items separately but there will, of course, be an Obi-Wan bundle that contains all of them, plus the skin and a unique loading screen.
Epic Games is also giving you the chance to acquire the skin early by participating in the Obi-Wan Kenobi
