Lucasfilm Confirms Three Star Wars Shows To Release On Disney+ In 2023
Lucasfilm confirms three Star Wars shows are coming in 2023, as The Mandalorian season 3 and Ahsoka are set for next year, with Jon Watts' Star Wars: Skeleton Crew joining the slate. The launch of Disney+ in 2019 brought a new avenue for Star Wars content and the arrival of the first live-action series set in the galaxy far, far away. Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian kicked off this experience and became a huge hit thanks to audiences falling in love with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu a.k.a. Baby Yoda. The success of the series propelled Lucasfilm to begin creating additional shows for the streaming service as part of shifting their focus away from the movies.
There are multiple Star Wars shows in development for Disney+ that will come in the next several years. Lucasfilm already has Andor season 1 set for 2022 and is days away from debuting Obi-Wan Kenobi as well. Meanwhile, Favreau and Dave Filoni have already finished work on The Mandalorian season 3 and are now in the process of filming Ahsoka, a spinoff starring Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano. With several other mystery shows in the works, such as one from Spider-Man: No Way Home director Watts and The Acolyte, there is a robust slate of shows coming to Disney+.

During the opening panel for Star Wars Celebration 2022, it was officially announced that The Mandalorian season 3 and Ahsoka are releasing on Disney+ in 2023. It was revealed that The Mandalorian season 3 is coming in February 2023, but no firm release window for Ahsoka was given.
