The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date Officially Announced At Star Wars Celebration
The last time Star Wars fans got to see Din Djarin in action was in The Book of Boba Fett, and while that show sometimes felt like another season of The Mandalorian, it couldn't hold a candle to Disney's flagship series. Luckily, another season of The Mandalorian is on the way, as was announced at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim.
Executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni took the stage to discuss details about the upcoming season, and were eventually joined by Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan Kryze in the show (Sackhoff is actually reprising the role in live-action, having previously voiced the character on Star Wars: The Clone Wars). After giving the audience a surprise preview, it was revealed that season three will premiere in February 2023.

When fans left Mando in The Book of Boba Fett, he had reunited with Grogu, and was setting off on a new adventure in a souped-up vintage Naboo Starfighter. This was after he had helped the titular bounty hunter defend the town of Mos Espa from Cad Bane and the Pyke syndicate. So far, no firm story details have been released for the upcoming season, though it is likely that the dark saber will continue to play a significant role in Mando's development. It may also be a continuing source of conflict between him and Bo-Katan, as was seen in the finale of season 2.
On top of the announcement for The Mandalorian's third season, several other Star Wars projects were discussed. This included the premiere of the first Andor trailer.
