Jon Favreau is just as excited as fans for Bryce Dallas Howard's Star Wars future as the actress/director shares an emotional story about her fellow filmmaker. After previously providing his voice to both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Solo: A Star Wars Story, Favreau rose to stardom within the franchise for creating and primarily writing Disney+'s first series The Mandalorian. The show, set between the events of the original and sequel Star Wars trilogies, centers on Pedro Pascal's titular character as he works to protect Grogu, an infantile member of Yoda's species, from the Galactic Empire.
Though better known for her on-camera work in the likes of the Jurassic World franchise and Rocketman, recent years have seen Howard follow in the footsteps of her father Ron as she's gotten behind the camera for a variety of projects. Howard has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for her work helming two episodes of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, with fans subsequently calling for the Golden Globe nominee to direct a Star Wars movie.
