In Rune Factory 5, players can choose to date and eventually marry the village townsfolk. Regardless of the gender the player selects at the start of the game; they can marry any eligible bachelor or bachelorette. In order to begin dating a character to increase friendship and view their unique stories, players can give gifts in accordance with the character's interests. To provide a gift, players simply need to speak to the character in Rune Factory 5 while holding the item. To maximize friendship points, players should prioritize gifts liked by the character, avoid any disliked items, and earn extra points by remembering their birthday.
