Legends of Tomorrow boss Keto Shimizu talks about how she opposed Sara Lance's Arrow death back in season 3 of the Arrowverse drama. Despite the many shake-ups this year, the Arrowverse is turning 10 years old as of this October, with Arrow premiering back in 2012. Throughout the Arrowverse's time, The CW has been able to bring multiple DC Comics characters to life from several beloved superheroes and villains. While Arrow started it, the franchise expanded with several Arrowverse spinoff shows like The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman, and many more.
One of the most popular characters in the whole Arrowverse is Sara Lance, who was an essential part of Legends of Tomorrow for all 7 seasons. While Sara became the captain of the Waverider, Caity Lotz's beloved heroine was part of a different team initially. In Arrow season 2, Lotz came into the series, revealing that Laurel Lance's little sister was actually alive this whole time. While Sara may not exist in the comics, she served a big role in Laurel's Black Canary storyline, operating as The Canary, a member of the League of Assassins. However, at the start of Arrow season 3, Sara was suddenly killed off, which brought Laurel into the final step into becoming the Black Canary.

It didn't take long before Sara was brought back to life to help lead Legends of Tomorrow, which became one of the longest-running Arrowverse series on The CW.
