Earlier this month, the Modern Family star announced that she would be taking over as host of the dating competition show for its fourth season. The show has moved to Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, for the new season, which allows fans an even more interactive experience than before. The show, which is filmed in real time, will allow fans to prevent contestants from being dumped and sent home, and they can also influence Love Island contestants' activities.
Love Island UK revived itself in 2015 and soon gained so much popularity it aired over 20 spin-offs in other countries, including Australia, Italy, Germany and Nigeria. The American version of the show aired in 2019, with actress Arielle Vanderberg as host for the first three seasons. The show was narrated by television host Matthew Hoffman but with a new host came a new narrator as well, and for Love Island USA season 4, the show has borrowed Love Island UK's narrator, Iain Stirling. Fans have been impatiently awaiting the new season and can't wait to meet all the new contestants.
