Diablo 4 Survey Reportedly Asks Players If They'd Be Okay With $100 Add-On

YouTuber Bellular News claims to have been sent a confidential Diablo 4 survey in which Blizzard asks players about possible add-ons ranging from $49.99 to $99.99. These include various perks such as hero skins, unique mounts, seasonal Platinum currency, early access, battle passes, and companions.

As reported by TryHardGuides and GameStar, the alleged survey lists four optional costs - $69.99, $49.99, $79.99, and $99.99. These tiers do not just include cosmetic upgrades, but functional items and perks. Two of the tiers would include two stash tabs and two would include a companion "that accompanies you in-game, providing some conveniences and utility such as access to your stash or gold pickups". Essentially, paid quality-of-life.

This is selling convenience. Obviously, this is something [Blizzard] is looking into. It's an idea they have.

To top it off, according to this alleged Diablo 4 survey, the $50 and $100 tiers would include "early access to a functional item" which is described as a "Unique piece of gear or a Legendary aspect before it's released during the expansion."

It's unclear how early this gear would be provided, whether it would be given out a year, a season, or a week before launch. Regardless, the idea of being able to pay for prized gear has rubbed Diablo 4 fans the wrong way.
