Diablo 4 Season 2 ‘Season of Blood’ Arrives on October 17
Blizzard has announced that Diablo 4 Season 2, the Season of Blood, will arrive on October 17th.
The arrival of Diablo 4's second season was announced through an official announcement trailer. You'll find this trailer featuring vampire hunter Erys below. Season of Blood focuses on the vampire theme and will offer a new questline for players to discover as well as vampiric powers to wield, and five additional endgame bosses.
"At the behest of their dark master, a newly turned army of ravenous vampires has set their sights on Sanctuary", Blizzard writes. "The master’s sinister plot remains a shrouded mystery but their pursuit for the blood of innocents has caused an uproar. You must learn to hunt the hunter—your fate depends on it."
As revealed by the development team, the game's second season will also introduce some Quality-of-Life improvements, including a more efficient inventory management for gems. In addition, Paragon Points, Skill Points, Potion Charges, and Obol capacity upgrades will now carry over into a new Season once achieved with an Eternal or previous Seasonal Realm character. Also, there will be changes to the functionality of status effects.
Diablo 4's first season, 'Season of the Malignant', is currently underway. The season kicked off last month, but unfortunately, the patch that came with this season didn't sit well with players as it basically nerfed all classes. Blizzard has since been trying to address the community backlash with various patches.
Diablo 4 is available globally now for PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
