All Aboard! Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express Stops on PS5, PS4 This October | Push Square
Fans of Hercule Poirot will have a new mystery to solve aboard the Orient Express later this year, as an updated take on the classic Agatha Christie tale nears on PS5 and PS4. Due out from 19th October, this Microids outing promises a contemporary spin on one of the most famous pieces of fiction ever published.
“Set in 2023, with new twists and turns added to the original story, the game will bring Agatha Christie’s literary classic to life in a way that will surprise even long-time fans,” the blurb promises. “Players will play as both the famous Hercule Poirot and his new sidekick Joanna Locke as they set out to discover the truth behind the murder aboard the Orient Express.”
The overview adds: “On board the Orient Express, legendary detective Hercule Poirot solves the murder that has taken place on the prestigious train, surrounded by a cast of intriguing characters with their own secrets and motives. Solving the mystery won’t be easy and through numerous twists and turns, players will have to use their little grey cells and detective skills to unravel the truth.”
The game will be faithful to the source material, but it also promises many twists. As for the gameplay, you’ll be responsible for fleshing out Poirot’s mind maps, discovering clues, and cross-examining suspects. We’re huge fans of detective games, so we’re actually really looking forward to getting stuck into this one when it launches later in the year.
