Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol Co-Creator is Teasing a New Game Project for 2024
Glen Schofield, known for his work on the original Dead Space, as well as the more recent horror title The Callisto Protocol, has started teasing plans to announce a new project in 2024.
Taking to social media platform X, Schofield has said that he has kept quite busy since work on The Callisto Protocol was completed, and that while he has taken some time off, he has been working on something “new and exciting” in games.
“Although I’ve taken some time off, I’ve been extremely busy & not just drawing,” he said in the post. “Something in games that’s new and exciting. Can’t wait to share more after the New Year!”
Schofield last worked on The Callisto Protocol with Striking Distance Studios. The game has seen quite a turbulent launch with a lukewarm critical and commercial response, however, which eventually led to a shake-up of the studio’s staff. Along with reports indicating that over 30 employees were laid off from the studio, Schofield was also said to have departed from his role as CEO.
