Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty trailer shows off new features including vehicle combat
CD Projekt has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, which is viewable below.
Set for release on September 26, the expansion promises to entirely overhaul the way Cyberpunk 2077 is played, according to CD Projekt.
In an interview in June, creative director Pawel Sasko and quest designer Despoina Anetaki told VGC that “all the core main systems” of the game have been “redone or updated in a major way”.

Gameplay designer Yulia Pryimak showcased some of the new features during Gamescom Opening Night Live on Tuesday.
These included vehicle combat. Players will be able to shoot guns while driving, use mounted weapons and rockets, and remotely take control of other vehicles in order to crash them.
“Car chases are going to be a renewed experience with a revamped police system,” Pryimak said.
Some of the new features introduced in Phantom Liberty will also be added to the base game as part of Update 2.0, which will be available on current-gen consoles and PC.
CD Projekt said last September that Phantom Liberty was the only planned expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, though after its release the next Cyberpunk game, Project Orion, will begin development at a new US-based studio called CD Projekt Red North America.
