We have had several conversations about how ChatGPT is the future, and to some extent, I do agree with that statement. However, users have started reporting how ChatGPT, the ubiquitous chatbot, is now becoming lazy and throwing out responses that basically prompt the user to get the job done on their own. While it does not explicitly say it, the answers are obvious enough that the chatbot simply does not want to solve the issue for the users.
Over the past couple of weeks, several ChatGPT users have started talking about how the platform is simply lazy. The complaints against the chatbot started appearing on Twitter or X, and then soon after that, the complaints started appearing on a number of other platforms, as well. You can see this in the screenshots below. Various users entered prompts that should be simple for the platform to understand, and instead of giving actual answers, the chatbot simply gave them suggestions on how the said tasks could be completed.
ChatGPT users have even reported that they had to fake being disabled just so the platform could actually do the job it was assigned to do, which sounds just as funny as it is dark. However, the good news is that the company has acknowledged the issue that users are currently facing and has talked about how it is looking into a fix. As to when we get the fix, that is still something we are not sure of.
