If you play video games, chances are you have at least a little knowledge of professional wrestling—whether you like it or not. Gamers have enjoyed (or suffered through) countless wrestling games of varying quality over the years, but AEW: Fight Forever promises both warm nostalgia and an exciting, fresh beginning. So get your PC ready for the action and theatrics.
AEW: Fight Forever is the first major video game featuring All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Founded in 2019, this hungry, new league seems to be doing the impossible by breaking the WWE's ossified stranglehold. AEW receiving its first video game furthers that ascent.
AEW: Fight Forever also looks to do right by not just wrestling fans, but wrestling video game fans. It’s developed by Yuke’s, which handled WWE games until 2019. The team explicitly references beloved Nintendo 64-era wrestling games, such as Virtual Pro Wrestling and WWF No Mercy. It’s a game for people who know and love the AKI Engine. The PC game has an arcade feel with many gameplay options, such as online co-op, barbed wire matches, tag team bouts, and deep character customization.
On PC, you can buy AEW: Fight Forever on Steam(Opens in a new window) for $59.99. The game is also coming to all current PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as the Nintendo Switch.
