Microsoft and Activision finally confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Treyarch’s next big title in the franchise, is coming to Game Pass on day one. It’s a monumental shift, potentially fueling a hike in Game Pass prices. However, a tweet by Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley suggests that not all Game Pass tiers are equal.
Microsoft confirmed to Keighley that Black Ops 6 would be available for Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox Game Pass Core isn’t mentioned, so while it isn’t impossible that the title launches for the tier (especially since Keighley mentions its pricing in the next tweet), it may be unlikely. After all, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 4 skipped Core when it launched for Game Pass on March 28th.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is without an official release window, but it’s rumored for late October. It will likely arrive for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, though PS4 and Xbox One versions are also allegedly in-bound. A dedicated Direct on June 9th after the Xbox Games Showcase will reveal more details, so stay tuned.
Microsoft has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be playable on Xbox and PC for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass for Console members.

PC Game Pass – $9.99 USD/month
