A side quest in Hallowfall involves learning a new kind of game from Faerin Lothar. During the game, we learn about Faerin's family, some troubling information about the Arathi Empire, and the reason why Anduin hasn't spoken to Wrathion for awhile.
After the events of Hallowfall's main questline, Faerin Lothar has some time to mourn Andari, a friend who has passed away. While reminiscing about Andari, she tells us about a board game they used to play — and we sit down with Faerin and Anduin to play the game ourselves. After a match, (currently buggy on the beta) both Faerin and Anduin open up about several intriguing topics.
We have already learned from previous conversations with Faerin that she ran away from home as a child to join the expedition of Arathi that are now in Hallowfall. We also learned that the Lothar family, while still noble, are not considered particularly wealthy or important in the Arathi Empire.
Now, Faerin opens up a little more about her family. By the sounds of it, Faerin's relationship with her parents was strained. Even after all this time, she doesn't seem to be in any rush to see them again.
