This year’s Summer Game Fest is officially in the bag, though host and producer Geoff Keighley still has Gamescom Opening Night Live and The Game Awards coming later this year. Nevertheless, Keighley has confirmed that Summer Game Fest will return in June 2025, venturing to Los Angeles.
A concrete date has yet to be locked down (Friday, June 6th, is possible), but we can expect iam8bit’s presence with Play Days and even a showcase for fans to attend. As always, we’ll need to wait for further details, so stay tuned in the coming year.
In the meantime, Gamescom Opening Night Live is scheduled for August 20th, with titles like Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds appearing (and having a playable demo on the show floor). The trade show runs from August 21st to 24th, and though Nintendo won’t be present, Ubisoft has confirmed its attendance. Microsoft is rumored to have many more Xbox titles to showcase as well.
