Karl Urban's Billy Butcher looks more like his nemesis Homelander in a new poster for The Boysseason 3, which gives the brash anti-hero heat vision. Prime Video's biggest original series is gearing up for a major return this summer. The Boys soared to new heights with its sophomore season back in the fall of 2020, winning over fans and critics with its sharp-witted take on superheroes and earning surprise Emmy nominations last year. As a result, expectations are high for season 3.
Set to premiere in June, The Boys season 3 will pick up with its titular group now separated. Hughie (Jack Quaid) has taken a position among Congresswoman Victoria Neuman's (Claudia Doumit) staff, not realizing she's the mysterious supe who has been blowing up people's heads. Meanwhile, Butcher is at a loss following the death of his love Becca (Shantel VanSanten), and sadistic Seven leader Homelander (Antony Starr) has seen his power undercut by the women surrounding him. The stage has been set for an explosive season 3.

The Boys has started hyping the upcoming season in earnest, now releasing a poster that hints a major twist could be on the way. The poster finds Butcher with glowing eyes, giving the impression he has heat vision powers… just like Homelander. The tagline that accompanied it reads, "Soon, it’ll be time to level the playing field." Check out the below.
