Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia confirms that Dwayne Johnson's DCEU character is aware of other DC heroes in his solo movie. During the early days of the DCEU, one of the first major castings for Warner Bros.' interconnected DC cinematic universe was Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam. While Black Adam is traditionally depicted as Shazam's greatest enemy, the DCEU will be taking a different approach to the DC icon. After years of being stuck in development hell, Black Adam is finally getting its theatrical release this year, featuring the character as an anti-hero rather than a traditional super-villain.
Making his live-action debut, Black Adam follows the story of Teth-Adam during his time as a slave of Khandaq before being granted the godlike powers he has in the comics. The film will give the DCEU one of its few anti-heroes since the franchise was launched in 2013 through Man of Steel. As much as it's a Black Adam origin story, the film will also serve as a vehicle for the Justice Society of America, including characters like Doctor Fate and Hawkman.

While Black Adam will be set within the DCEU, it remains to be seen how much Johnson's titular character knows about other heroes in the franchise. During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia discusses the larger connectivity the film has to the DCEU. While not disclosing specifics, Garcia assures that Black Adam will know about the existence of other DC heroes and that audience members will «feel the effects» in their world, sharing the following:
