Dwayne Johnson had the best reaction to seeing his Black Adam toy for the first time. The upcoming film, based on the popular DC Comics character of the same name, follows its titular anti-hero who finds himself freed almost 5,000 years after receiving powers from the Egyptian gods and being abruptly restrained, only to now unleash his own form of justice on the world. Developed as a spin-off of 2019's Shazam!, in which the character is referenced, Black Adam officially wrapped filming earlier this month and is set to be released theatrically on October 21, 2022. In addition to Johnson, who stars as Teth-Adam/Black Adam, the movie's cast includes Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Pierce Brosnan, Marwan Kenzari, and Sarah Shahi.
Following the recent release of Black Adam's trailer, featuring Johnson as well as a sneak-peek at the Justice Society of America, fan anticipation for the project has started to increase.
