It’s been a little while since we heard about Bethesda Game Studio’s next big game. In fact, there’s still a lot about Starfield that we still don’t know. That includes Starfield‘s release date, which is scheduled for this year. Stranger still, Microsoft and Bethesda’s previous Developer Direct lacked any information about the game. But Bethesda could potentially be teasing some kind of April showcase for Starfield.
The tease comes directly from the Bethesda Nordic Twitter account. Earlier today it sent out a short tweet tagging @xboxse saying ” are you hyped for our date on the 21st of April? We promise it will be good!” This could mean almost anything, but given the timing it seems likely that this could be tied to Starfield. However, a follow-up tweet adds some confusion to the whole situation.
In a reply to the initial tweet, the Bethesda Nordic account announces that Bethesda is part of the Elle gala in spring. The account then redirected other users to this tweet in response to them asking about Starfield and other upcoming Bethesda titles. This seems to suggest that there actually won’t be a showcase in April. The original tweet could be an unfortunate misunderstanding. But that’s bound to be disappointing news for some and this is certainly a strange situation.

It’s possible that the reply could be another misdirect to add some uncertainty to the upcoming April event. But there’s no telling what to expect, unfortunately. Either way, we’re likely to get some news about Starfield‘s release fate sometime soon. Even if Starfield doesn’t end up
