Sony had a State of Play stream this week, with a whole host of game announcements and trailers, including a deep dive into Suicide Squad that you’ll find down in the Trailer Park section.
PSVR 2 games dominated our reviews this week, as you would expect!
Alongside this haul of reviews, I dove in and returned to some of the games being upgraded from the original PSVR or with PSVR 2 support added in an update. Starting off with GT7 in PSVR 2 the overall experience of driving is fantastic, and it’s great to have across the board in the game, but there’s a good few ways that I feel Polyphony could improve everything surrounding that.
Freshly upgraded from their original releases on PSVR, Rez Infinite and Tetris Effect: Connected are still all-time classics on PSVR 2, incorporating some fun new twists like headset rumble and eye-tracked aiming.
Speaking of eye-tracking, I also put together a quick explainer for what foveated rendering is, and why it can make PSVR 2 streams blurry.
Finally, What We Played included Horizon Call of the Mountain & lots more PSVR 2.
