The Last Of Us Part 1 Could Be Steam Deck Verified
The Last Of Us Part 1's PC port launches tomorrow. As if that wasn't good enough news all by itself, Valve appears to have confirmed it will be Steam Deck verified at launch, or at least that's what has been implied through marketing on its site.
First spotted by PCGamesN, Valve is using an image from The Last Of Us Part 1 to advertise its price. The scene during which Joel and Ellie meet a giraffe. A scene millions more were introduced to via HBO's adaptation as Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey recreated it, and got up close and personal with a real-life giraffe as no, the animal was not CGI.

Before any of you Steam Deck owners with long trips and commutes ahead of you later this week make plans to play The Last Of Us on the go, don't get too excited just yet. While using the game to advertise the handheld console is certainly strong evidence it'll be verified right out the gate, neither Valve nor Naughty Dog has officially confirmed that to be the case. It seems likely though as Neil Druckmann previously said the game would be playable on Steam Deck, he just didn't say when.
The Last Of Us is also joined by games like Hades and Stray on the site, both of which have been confirmed to play great on the system. Even though it has been implied The Last Of Us will be Steam Deck verified, some of you may have been skeptical when its specs were revealed. It's going to take a lot of power to run a game that looks as good as Part 1, so kudos to whoever made it happen if you can play on the Steam Deck without issue starting tomorrow.
