The Last of Us is not a first-person shooter – but what if it was? We’re sure PC mods will give us a better idea one day in the not too distant future, but Twitter user Ceraphyte has used Photo Mode to sneak us an early glimpse. Basically, these screenshots show the survival horror game from the perspective of a traditional FPS, and we reckon it looks pretty great.
Naughty Dog vice president Neil Druckmann has confirmed the developer did toy with the perspective during development, but ultimately it decided on its tried-and-trusted over-the-shoulder view. Considering how good the Californian developer is at character animation, we can’t imagine it’ll adopt a first-person viewpoint any time soon – it would be interesting, though, wouldn’t it?

I’d definitely play through this for the 4th time just to experience it from a new prospective. Being playable on PSVR2 would be even more enticing.
