It was revealed earlier this month that Street Fighter will be one of the countless video game series to receive an adaptation. In fact, having acquired the TV and movie rights for the series, it appears Legendary has plans for multiple live-action Street Fighter projects should all go to plan. While very littlenhas been revealed, the first movie from this new venture will be directed by an unexpected duo -YouTubers RackaRacka.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed brothers Michael and Danny Philippou have been selected by Legendary to direct its first Street Fighter project. Best known for their comedy and horror shorts on YouTube, the duo does have a little bit of very recent experience when it comes to heading up feature-length movies. Horror film Talk To Me which debuted at this year's Sundance and will hit theaters on July 28.

You may well be reading all of this wondering why on earth Legendary appears to have rolled the dice on a couple of YouTuber-turned-directors for what is going to be a presumably massive project. Not to mention the Philippou brothers' lack of experience when it comes to directing anything in the style of what a Street Fighter movie presumably needs to be.
