The Immortal is a powerful Strand Submachine Gun in introduced in. This weapon has quickly risen to the top of the charts in PvP as one of the most potent Primary guns. While The Immortal does not have any standout damage Perks, there are plenty of opportunities to boost the stats of the SMG. The primary stat that players will want to focus on increasing is range. This weapon archetype excels at close to mid-range combat, but expanding the distance of damage falloff is ideal. The Immortal is an Aggressive Frame SMG, meaning that the weapon deals high damage, but has a high recoil.

Guardians can earn The Immortal by playing's competitive game mode, Trails of Osiris. Unfortunately, this weapon cannot be crafted and will always be a random roll. The recent rework to Saint 14 allows Guardians to Focus Engrams earned in Trials of Osiris. Players can either get a random piece of gear or a specific weapon. This is the primary way to acquire new copies of this SMG. However, The Immortal must be earned before Focusing, either as a random drop or by reaching Rank 10 with Saint 14. Specific weeks may also reward the Adept version of the SMG to Guardians who achieve Flawless in Trials of Osiris. This allows players to equip Adept Mods to the gun, increasing weapon stats further.

The Immortal is an incredibly reliable SMG in PvP. While the gun is still viable in PvE, there are better options that can be found.
