Former Bethesda Dev May Have Leaked Starfield Collector's Edition
A former Bethesda employee has potentially confirmed plans for a Starfield Collector's Edition, pointing to a leak going back to early 2022. Starfield remains without a release date due to frequent delays over the past year, but is expected to receive one soon if it's to meet Bethesda's plan to launch in the first half of 2023. A Starfield Collector's Edition has not been confirmed, as a result, but if this former Bethesda employee is to be believed there's certainly one planned.
In early 2022, photos leaked of what some believed to be a Starfield Collector's Edition watch. The watch, made by The Wand Company, featured a welcome screen with the Starfield logo and other references to the upcoming video game. The watch also appeared briefly in a Starfield behind-the-scenes video. However, without an official announcement related to the product, it wasn't clear what the watch was really for. It could have been completely unrelated to Starfield's rumored Collector's Edition. No announcement has been made in the year since.
Starfield Release Date Possibly Leaks Online
An update has come in the form of a Twitter post from ex-Bethesda Australia employee LoneVaultWanderer. They shared a message on social media regarding why Starfield can't be shadow-dropped suddenly, mentioning that there's a Collector's Edition of the game that would have to already be available at retailers if a shadow drop was planned. However, it's unclear if they're confirming the existence of a Collector's Edition or merely speculating.
